A magnificent book. A stunning large-format edition. Phenomenal drawings. And yet it was dismissed as a forgery and publicised worldwide since 2016.
But the truth always lies somewhere in between, or somewhere else entirely; Claudia Koole’s – Gratias Avis – research findings reveal a different reality, in which the details in these drawings, such as the Lost Sketchbook of Arles, correspond very closely with details from world-famous paintings and drawings by Vincent van Gogh and Paul Gauguin.
All editions, in Dutch, German, French and English, are annotated in the same language to demonstrate why the drawings carry great significance that no one other than the artist himself—Vincent van Gogh—could have known. This is amazing!
